The Ups and Downs of Laser Hair Removal

No one really wants to shave. Sometimes you don't have time, or maybe you're embarassed by a certain part of your body that you wish were hairless. At some point, every woman in America must dream at least once, about having smooth, soft skin where they usually shave, or pluck, or wax. Laser hair removal seems like the perfect solution. You pay and have the procedure done and you never have to worry about that unwanted hair ever again, right? Wrong. Laser hair removal is something that should be thoroughly researched and looked into. It is not for everyone and can also have downsides - like expense, for one.As previously stated, laser hair removal is not for everyone. The most significant requirement is that a person's hair must be darker than the skin surrounding it. Even people who just have a tan but have dark hair, should wait until their tans fade to begin treatment, as darker skin absorbs too much laser energy. Coarse, dark hair responds best to laser treatment. Also, many hair removal treatments are not guaranteed. It is impossible to predict the exact result a patient will achieve with laser hair removal, especially with regard to how many sessions a given individual will require. Many of the hair removal clinics which guaranteed results have gone out of business. The most established laser hair removal practices do not guarantee results, which means that it is possible that you could spend all of that money and not get the exact results that you want.Speaking of money, you're asking, If I am an acceptable candidate for laser hair removal, how much will it cost if I decide to do it? Well, each body area is different, of course, depending on size. Each session of the procedure usually runs around $500, but any area could take four, or even more sessions. Large areas, such as the entire leg(s), will cost considerably more and take longer to finish. It's all common sense - if you just want your upper lip done, you will probably pay the minimum, as that is a small area. If you want to get both legs done, look to spend much more. If you want to get the area near your eyes done, forget it - this isn't considered a safe area and doctors won't do it, so get used to plucking those eyebrows! And of course, before deciding on anything, a consultation with a reputable laser hair removal clinic is recommended. If a doctor is on the level, he/she will be honest about the cost, side-effects and candidacy issues for the procedure. Side effects of laser hair removal method are very rare and no visible irritation of the skin is seen for most people, but again, it is possible, so make sure you ask. And although this writer is a pessimist and looks for the bad points in everything, it should be remembered that when the day is over, laser hair removal of facial and body hair is safe, clean, simple and quicker than most hair removal methods and can be used on any part of the body except for the area directly adjacent to the eyes. If you whink you have the patience and money to do it and you hate shaving, go for it! Just remember, it's your body - be careful with it.

Hair Removal Options for Women

Unwanted body hair is the bane of the fairer gender. Hailed as a sign of health and vitality in a male, this masculine trait that you do not want to see on your own body (as a female).

Body hair removal works differently for different people, depending on each person's body makeup. For those blessed with the absence of the hairy gene, you can probably get away with not shaving at all. However, if you happen to fall on the unfortunate side of the gene pool, then you would want to consider these body hair removal options.

You can decide between getting the short-term solution or a long-term solution to your hairy problem. The short-term solution would be to shave regularly. While tedious and messy, it is relatively painless (as compared to waxing) and cheap. For those of you who can't afford professional treatment for your body hair problem, then shaving can help. However, select the areas you shave carefully. While you can shave your armpits with impunity, be careful of the more sensitive areas.

If you can get away with not shaving that ever-slight hair on your face, try not to. Shaving would cause the hair to turn from fine to thick stubble, which infinitely complicates your body hair problem. Instead, wait for more permanent solutions, or simply don't shave your facial hair at all (that is, if you can live with it).

The more permanent methods of removal are waxing, using hair removal cream, or lasering the hairs off.

Waxing is one of the more common removal methods, because it lasts and it is affordable. Available at beauty and hair salons, spas, and even having their own boutiques, waxing involves the painful process of literally tearing the follicles off your body. Waxing can also be done at home, through purchasing waxing kits that are widely available.

Hair removal creams are also available as a painless way of removing unwanted body hair. Find the cream that works for your body makeup, and stick with it. The downside to hair removal creams is that they are messy to apply, does not work for all hairs, and may give off a bad smell. Moreover, some people are allergic to these creams. It is best to check with your physician before using the product.

The last method is removal of hairs via laser. Laser removal is by far the safest, most effective and long lasting method of hair removal. However, that effectiveness comes with a price tag of at least $500 per treatment. Only rich girls need apply.

Most would stick with shaving, considering that it is safe and reliable as a hair removal method. However, if your body hair becomes a problem to you, you might want to seek the advice of a family doctor for further treatment.

Nair Hair Remover

Many women have a problem with excess facial hair, and most women with excess facial hair take steps to remove the hair. There are many ways to remove facial hair, but not all methods of removing facial hair are simple, inexpensive, or effective. Nair Hair Remover is a popular name brand hair remover, and it is commonly used to remove hair on the upper lip, chin, and cheeks.

Women with problem facial hair are continuously striving to find hair removal products that work effectively. There are a number of brands of facial hair remover, and this review will help women decide if Nair Hair Remover is the right product to remove their bothersome and embarrassing excess facial hair.

Description of Nair Hair Remover

Nair Hair Remover Moisturizing Face Cream comes in a two-ounce plastic bottle. The bottle stands on its cap and is made from pliable plastic. The lid is hard plastic, and the opening is about one-third of an inch in diameter. Instructions and product usage warnings and company contacts are clearly printed on the back label.

Product Claims

Nair Hair Remover Moisturizing Face Cream claims to effectively remove hair above the upper lip, chin, and cheeks. Nair Hair Remover also claims to provide long-lasting results, and is said to make skin smooth and radiant.

Instructions for Use

All make up should be removed before applying this product. The instructions say to squeeze the product onto the fingertips and apply a smooth thick layer to cover the hair you want to remove. Capital letters stress not to rub it in. The instructions say the cream should be left on for five minutes, and a small area should be tested for hair removal. If the hair is not coming off, the product can be left on for up to ten minutes, but big bold letters warn not to leave it on any longer.

The instructions say to remove the product with a damp washcloth, and again, the instructions warn not to rub. The skin should be rinsed with lukewarm water after the hair removal cream has been completely removed, and instructions say to pat dry.

The warning label is more extensive than the product usage instructions. Consumers are warned to test for allergic reactions before using the product. There are also warnings regarding keeping the product away from the eyes and other sensitive areas.

Personal Experience

Its embarrassing to admit having problem facial hair, but women really shouldnt be embarrassed. Many women use facial hair removal products, but most will never admit it - especially to the men in their life. I too was embarrassed about a small amount of hair on my upper lip, but I have dark hair, and hair above the lip, especially if a woman has dark hair, isnt uncommon.

Several years ago, I made the mistake of buying a hair removal product advertised on television. The product would have removed my skin before it removed excess facial hair. It was irritating, smelly, and worst of all, it didnt work. The guarantee offered with this product was as worthless as the product itself. The company would refund the purchase price but not the shipping and handling. The shipping and handling fee was almost as much as the price of the product, and even if everyone who bought it, sent this product back for a refund, the company would still making a considerable amount of money. This taught me to read reviews before purchasing certain products.

Unlike the worthless hair removal product advertised on television, Nair Hair Remover is a good product that I highly recommend. This product effectively removes excess facial hair, it isnt irritating if the directions are followed, and it doesnt smell bad. Nair Hair Remover does what it claims. This product leaves the skin smooth and radiant, and it does moisturize the skin.

The only claim this product makes that I dispute is the claim that Nair Hair Remover provides long-lasting results, but this is a matter of opinion. Compared to shaving, this product does provide long-lasting results, but it must be used once a week to keep hair from becoming once again apparent. The phrase long lasting cant be proven or measured, so this isnt really a false claim. In reality, no method of hair removal other than laser removal is long lasting. Hair removal must be preformed on a weekly basis, but all things considered, this hair removal product is still in my opinion, a good product.

I dont use a washcloth to remove this product. Its easier in my opinion to use a wet tissue that can be thrown away rather than unnecessarily soil a washcloth.

Ways This Product Could Be Improved Upon

If I had the power to improve this product, as a regular user of this hair removal cream, I would definitely change the packaging. Although Im sure the opening was designed as a marketing strategy so consumers use more, the opening really should be smaller. Also, the cream tends to collect and dry around the opening, even if the cap is closed securely as directed.

The bottle is made of pliable plastic, but the plastic isnt pliable enough. When the product can no longer be squeezed from the bottle, Ive gone so far as to cut it open and have found enough cream hiding inside for at least two or three more applications. The bottle would be more consumer-friendly if it were designed like a tube of toothpaste so almost the entire product could be expelled from the container by rolling it up and squeezing it.

The product contained inside works very well, and I wouldnt change a thing. If youre looking for hair remover for excess facial hair, Nair Hair Remover is a great product that will remove your excess facial hair painlessly and effectively. As with any product, carefully follow product label instructions for best results.

3 Most Popular Methods to Remove Your Back Hair Easily

Looking for ways to remove your back hair? Thanks to advancement in technology, we have now multitudes of methods to choose from in removing those nasty back hairs.

Basically it boils down to personal preference, pain tolerance and the money your willing to spend.

I compiled the 3 most popular methods of back hair removal to ease your confusion in looking for the right method that you think that's right for you.

Shaving

By far the most popular method is still shaving with your good old trust razor blades. But shaving your back hair might be a little hard without assistance. Obviously it's hard to reach your back on yourself so you might need someone to do it for you. Another problem of shaving is that you have to do it often compared to other methods. But its convenient and cheap. That's why it's a bit popular for most of us.

Waxing

Waxing is a method that has become more and more popular these days. Waxing saloons that are sprouting everywhere are a proof of this. Waxing also needs a professional assistance, hence therefore waxing saloons. It may cost a bit of money, and it's painful. But its effective and the hairs don't grow back as much as fast as shaving with razorblades.

Laser Removal

By far the method last longer than any other. Laser removal is the method for you if you're willing to spend and get rid of those unwanted back hair. But the method is not really for everyone; some skin tones and hair colors are not advised to adopt such treatment. Laser removal isn't always a one-time affair. Sometimes it takes more trips to the clinic to make the method effective and efficient. So you might also consider your time schedule if you're thinking of undergoing such method. It is also vitally important that you see a certified professional for this kind of matter. You couldn't imagine how stories that are running around about laser removal treatments that turned really ugly. So be on the safe side with this one. Its you're skin and the nasty effects might be irreversible.

Choosing which method you prefer might not be so very easy. Just be sure to balance what you prefer, how much you willing to spend and the pain you can tolerate. Also remember not to make any unnecessary risk and always take safety precautions.

Facial Hair Removal Options for Women

Not a lot of women like to talk about it, but its something many deal with on a daily basis. For these women, facial hair is an embarrassing problem that wont go away.

There are many options available to correct this problem, but some can be costly and painful. Some treatments work better than others, but arent always one hundred percent effective. We all want soft, hair-free, and unblemished skin. Whats a girl to do?

Why

The reasons why women get hair growth on their facial area varies. Many times it is simply a matter of genetics. Does your grandmother or even your mother have a mustache? If so, you may one day have the same problem.

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome affects up to 10% of all women of reproductive age. One annoying symptom of PCOS is excessive hair growth. While this is not true of all PCOS patients, up to 75% of them will see this in one form or another. This hair will not always appear on the face, but quite often it shows up on the upper lip or on the chin.

Some women just have darker hair than others. We all have a fine layer of hair on our faces, but some womens just grows thicker and darker than others.

Some women will develop facial hair once they reach menopause. Its quite common, and comes in relation to the hormonal changes that are taking place inside your body.

Options

Bleaching: I have a friend who, due to her ancestry, has a very faint mustache. She buys a bleaching kit at her local supermarket and bleaches the hair on her upper lip. If she hadnt told me about it, I never would have noticed. If you have fine hair on your face that is just a bit too dark for your liking, this is a great option for you. This process is quick and painless, though you should never bleach when your skin is irritated.

Shaving: Ive heard all my life that shaving will cause hair to grow back thicker and darker. This really isnt true. The hairs will not get thicker or darker, but the razor will cut off the fine tip of the hair. When this happens the hair appears to be thicker and darker, but in reality its just got a flat tip on it. This gives it a thicker, fuller appearance.

Shaving, however, is not a good option. You may have to shave twice a day to keep your face smooth, and the dark hair roots remain. This sometimes shows through your skin, and will make it obvious you shave your face.

Tweezing: If you have just a few stray hairs that bother you, tweezing is your best option. Its quick and will only need to be done one or twice a week, depending on how fast your hair grows. Tweezing comes with a minute amount of pain, but you will get used to the sensation very quickly.

Depilatory Creams: These creams are applied to the hair for a short period of time. They will eat away the hair shaft, sometimes below the surface of the skin. They are usually left on for approximately five minutes and then wiped off of the skin.
These tend to work well and offer a few days of hair-free skin. If you have sensitive skin however, these creams may not be the best option for you. You cannot use these on any skin that is cut or irritated, and should never be used near the eyes. Depending on your skin type they may burn a bit when in use, and can leave your skin red.

If you want to try these creams, test them on a patch of skin elsewhere on your body first. Youll get better results if you do this after a warm shower, or if you place a hot cloth over the treatment area for a few minutes before you begin. This will soften the hairs and open your pores, allowing the product to work better.

Waxing: This form of hair removal is very popular despite its pain factor. Warm wax is applied to the hair and then pulled off once it cools. This, if done correctly, pulls the hairs out by the roots. It is painful, but the results can last for weeks.

This treatment can be done in a salon or at home. Home waxing kits are relatively affordable and come with everything you need to do it yourself. You may need to do it a few times before you get the hang of it, however. If you do choose to do this at home, follow the instructions to the letter so you dont damage or burn your skin. Also, be sure to buy a kit that is made especially for facial hair.

Electrolysis: This is done by sliding a needle into the skin, along the side of a hair. A short zap of electricity is shot through the hair to kill it. The hair is then pulled out with tweezers.

While this form of hair removal is said to be permanent, that isnt always the case. Some hairs do grow back and some are missed altogether and must be done at a later date. It is also a slow and tedious procedure, as only one hair can be done at a time.

Expect some pain with this procedure. You will have to go to a professional to get this done. Be prepared to spend a lot of money and time if you go this route. Home electrolysis is not recommended, as it is too easy to scar your skin if it is done incorrectly.

Laser Hair Removal: This is the newest form of hair removal. It uses low intensity lasers to remove hair. The laser is drawn to the pigment of the hair and destroys that hair. It can be mostly pain-free but this will highly depend on you and your skin. You may experience redness or slight swelling.

This treatment is the most expensive of all treatments, but if you are removing facial hair, you may get it all done in one treatment. If you are removing hair on your legs, you may have to go back several times. Unlike electrolysis, which only targets one hair at a time, laser removal can remove up to a hundred or more in one shot.

Those with darker skin may not be candidates for this because the pigment in their skin may confuse the laser, and the hairs may be missed. White or gray hairs are very hard for the laser to see because of their lack of pigment. This may be changing, however. Newer developments are coming along all the time. Call the nearest laser hair removal center in your area to see if you are a candidate for this type of treatment.

Wrap Up

Just as all women are different, their choices for hair removal will be different as well. There is no right answer, the just answer that works best for you and your lifestyle. The point is you dont have to live with facial hair; you just have to find the best way to get rid of it!

Laser Hair Removal Before a Tattoo

If you are considering getting a tattoo, you may also want to consider having the hair in the area around where you are getting your tattoo removed. Laser hair removal can permanently remove the hair on your leg, arm, back or other area of your body where you plan to receive you tattoo, and keep your tattoo looking great and hair free for years to come.

Why get laser hair removal?

No one wants to spend the money to get a fantastic tattoo, only to have it covered by body hair. Shaving your tattoo can be an obnoxious task especially if you have a larger tattoo. You also will have times when you have stubble on your tattoo, or even times when you forget to shave and your tattoo is covered in body hair. You want to keep your tattoo looking attractive. Laser hair removal can ensure that your tattooed area remains hair free and looking great.

When should I get laser hair removal?

If you plan on getting the hair in your tattooed area removed by laser, you will need to have the procedure done BEFORE you get your tattoo. Since a tattoo changes the pigment of your skin you don't want to expose that new pigment to the light emitted from the laser. Performing a laser hair removal on a tattoo after the fact can cause a discoloration in your tattoo, if not a removal of the tattoo.

What is involved in laser hair removal?

A beam of light is directed at the specific area you wish to remove hair from for your tattoo. Depending on the size of area which you are having hair removed and the density of hair growth in the area; a laser hair removal procedure can take anywhere from half an hour to three or four hours. Hair grows in cycles, so you will more than likely need to return for another treatment at least once more before all of the hair in the area is completely removed.

Does Laser Hair Removal Hurt?
Most patients who undergo laser hair removal experience some mild discomfort. Your skin will be red, and you will feel a slight burning sensation. People with sensitive skin may consider using a topical cream to numb the area before treatment. There are several risks involved with using a anesthetic cream, so most centers discourage clients from using one, particularly on large parts of the body.

How do I prepare for laser hair removal?

If you are planning on having a laser hair removal done there are a few things you should do to prepare.

1. Do not pluck or wax the hair from the area for 3 weeks- Depending on where you are having hair removed you may be inclined to wax or pluck the hairs in the area. It is important that you don't do this prior to a laser hair removal. Doing so will make your laser hair removal treatment much less effective.
2. Be tan free- Before treatment try to no visit the tanning bed or spend too much time in the sun. If you are a tan person your laser hair removal specialist may suggest you use a bleaching cream before treatment to make sure your hair removal is successful.
3. Talk to you laser hair removal specialist about any medications you are on- Some medications can cause you to blister easily or prevent the laser hair removal from being effective. Talk to your laser hair removal specialist about what medications you are currently on before you have your procedure done to make sure nothing you are taking will interfere with the procedure.

How soon can I get my tattoo after laser hair removal?

You will want to wait until you are sure the hair has been permanently removed, in it's entirety before you get your tattoo. Once you get your tattoo you will be unable to undergo any more hair removal treatments, so you want to make sure you have removed the hair permanently before getting your tattoo. Talk to your laser hair removal specialist about the time frame they expect to complete your hair removal. In most cases you will be ready to get your tattoo shortly after your second or third laser hair removal.

NO!NO! Hair Removal System Review

My search for an at-home hair removal system that actually works started in my teens. Remember Epilady torture? I've tried waxing, creams and home eletrolysis without much succuss. While perusing prices on laser treatments, I discovered the NO!NO! long-term hair removal system. The $250 price tag put me off for a few months, but about a month ago I took the plunge and bought one from Sephora. After seeing laser hair removal prices, I thought it was worth the risk.

Lets talk about how NO!NO! works. The process is called Thermicon and it involves a hot blade and wire that sends heat down the hair shaft into the root. This process basically tells the root to stop growing hair. NO!NO! is not a miraculous cure for instant hair removal. It's a long process that stops hair growth over time, resulting in hair reduction. So if you're looking for a quick fix this method may not be for you. If you can spend a couple hours a week using NO!NO! for a month or more, you can get results. The blades will wear out after awhile, but Sephora has 5 piece replacement blade packs available for $21.

The first time I used my NO!NO!, I put in the hot blade for longer hair, (basically anything longer than stubble), and followed the instructions by applying the NO!NO! in an upward motion against the hair growth on my legs. It was easier than I thought as they have a little light that lets you know whether you're using the machine correctly. If the light flickers, you need to adjust the speed or angle. Try to keep it at that constant speed. I was a bit dissapointed with the long hot blade as I had to go over areas more than once to see results. NO!NO! burns the hair and you will notice a burnt hair smell. The smell seems to be too strong for some people, but I didn't think it was that bad. I've also heard of people burning themselves with the blade, I didn't have a problem with this at all. I would guess that going too slow or holding the blade in one place for too long might cause a burn.

After using the long blade, I used the buffer that came with the NO!NO!. This is a small disk that sands or buffs off the hair that's left. Then I put in the hot blade for short hair and this one seemed a lot more effective than the first blade. I didn't have to repeat areas nearly as much and it reduced the remaining hair to very short stubble that wasn't too visible. But, if I ran my hand over my leg, I could feel them. I used the buffer again and I must say, I love the buffers. They leave my legs super smooth after using the NO!NO! and after shaving. Yes, I still shave my legs. This is a process, not an instant hair removal technique.

I have used my NO!NO! faithfully 2 to 3 times per week for a month and I have seen some pretty good results on the legs and bikini area. I would estimate a 20 to 30 percent reduction of hair growth on the legs which means one step closer to hair free and a lot less ingrown hairs. I have areas that I don't see any hair at all growing back.

What really sold me on NO!NO! was how fast it worked on my lower arms. I used it on my arms everytime I did my legs, and the arm results were dramatic. The regrowth on my arms has slowed to by at least 50% and what does grow back takes a long time. I think the different results for arms and legs is the fact that the hair on my legs is much thicker and coarser. But, if the results on my arms are any indication of how my legs will be after consistantly using it, I'll be keeping my NO!NO!.

Wax Shave or Cream the Hair Away

With the weather getting warmer, more skin is being exposed and for you that could mean more shaving, waxing and other forms of hair removal. Before taking on the hair removing challenge, take a look at the options. Disposable razor- Inexpensive and comes in packs of 3 to 20+. There bad side is disposable razors that are the plain blades with no moving head can miss the areas around your ankles, knees and armpits. Some disposable razors are quite fancy with moveable comfortable heads with cushion in between the blades. Others have moisture strips. Often times this type of razor comes in a package of one and you have the option of buying replacement razor heads. Electric Razor- Can cost around $20.00 and up. Some now have the option to have cream/gel dispense out of the razor. Personal experience for me has been the razor not giving a good enough shave, but it may work better for you. Cream/Lotion/Depilatory- I decided to try the cream hair remover in hopes of painless, longer lasting results and no nicks from shaving and or wax bumps. I didn't have any of this but I did have some hair on my legs still. Some was removed while other areas didn't seem to work on at all. The scent of the one I used smelled like rotten eggs. Depends on which cream/get product you use, some such as for facial hair does offer soothing lotion for after. Razorless shave cream- You apply the cream and leave on your legs for 5-8 minutes. Do not allow the cream to dry on your skin. Then with a razor looking tool you scrap away the cream with the hair. I haven't tried this method. Sugaring- A sticky paste is applied to the area you want to remove hair. Then a strip is placed over the paste and then you pull the strip to remove the hair with the paste. Can be done at home or in a salon. Waxing can be done either in the comfort of your home or done by professionals at the salon. There are 3 common types. Many products claim to leave you hairless for 6-8 weeks. You need to continue waxing the area until it's hair free. Microwave wax- The idea of putting hair removal wax in my microwave when I use it for food grossed me out. It may not for you or perhaps you have a second microwave. Carefully you microwave the wax according to the directions. Microwaves vary so keep an eye on the wax to ensure it won't bubble over and or explode. Using oven mitts to remove the hot wax, take the tool given and put the wax on the area you want to remove hair from. Then you apply a strip. Remove the strip away from the hair growth direction. Don't forget to hold the skin tight as you pull away the strip. Gel wax- Some gel waxes require you to heat up the gel in your hands. I tried a gel wand hair remover and it hurt when I applied it to my skin. I had applied the strip and made sure the gel and strip had good contact. I pulled the strip as instructed but literally no hair was removed for me. I tried again another day but had no luck with this form of waxing. Wax Strips- I've had some good experiences with this type of waxing. You warm up the wax between your hands. Since the wax in already on the strip, there isn't much mess. You can cut to shape the strips. Don't be surprised if your results don't last 6-8 weeks. After soothing azelene with Vitamin E an be applied to remove left over wax reside. Many products include the azelene product with the kit. Permanent hair removal may be an option to look at if you prefer not to do hair removal ever now and then. Laser air removal is an option. Keep in mind it can take many treatments to see results and costing in the thousands. There are hair removal kits for home use that claim to help with permanent hair removal. Before spending hundreds of dollars it's a good idea to talk to a professional for their opinion how they feel it would work for you.

Medical & Natural Treatments for Removing Female Facial Hair

Facial hair is a woman's worst nightmare, and matters are only made worse for women who have darker hair. It is not only embarrassing, obvious facial hair play's with a woman's mind when it comes to her femininity. Sure there are plenty of over-the-counter products designed to ease a woman's mind when it comes to the task of removing facial hair, but many of these treatments are costly, painful, and the hair removal is at best temporary.

Depilatory creams are ideal, but can be problematic when used on the face because they can irritate the skin. Most creams are relatively inexpensive but the results from this hair removal method will only last for one to two weeks before you'll need to apply it again.

Electrolysis is a permanent hair removal method, since it destroys the hair follicle, but treatments can be expensive as more then one visit is necessary for most people. The epilators work through the method of short-wave radio frequency, and a fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle at the surface of the skin. This method of hair removal sounds painful, but most report that it is uncomfortable at best and only causes a tingling sensation. The price of the treatments average around $25.00 to $150.00 depending on the amount of hair being removed.

Laser hair removal is full of promises that it is permanent, and for the price of treatments, it should be, but this is not always the case. This common dermatology treatment is only permanent on certain skin and hair color types. Problems that can arise with this type of treatment are typical when the wrong type of laser is used. Other factors that can contribute to non-permanent hair removal include the color of your hair, and the phase of your hair in its particular hair growth cycle.

According to Consumer Guide laser hair removal is not for everyone. The absolute requirement is that one's hair must be darker than the surrounding skin. Additionally very darkly pigmented people absorb too much laser energy in their skin and are not ideal candidates. There findings established that it is impossible to predict the exact result a patient will achieve with laser hair removal, especially with regard to how many sessions a given individual will require, and many of the hair removal clinics which guaranteed results have gone out of business. The average cost of laser hair removal runs approximately $1,000.00 or more, depending on the amount of the facial hair that needs to be removed.

Threading is the ideal facial hair removal alternative to waxing, depilatory creams, tweezing or laser, especially if you have sensitive skin. Unlike other hair removal methods, irritation and skin rashes cab be avoided as the top layer of your skin is not stripped off in the process. Since threading is a completely natural skin removal process, it works on all skin types for a hairless face, whether you have normal skin, sensitive skin, or damaged skin. This process is not well known unless you are from the Middle East or Asia where women have been using this system for centuries. This method runs about $12.00 for each part of the face where hair removal is necessary.
http://www.facialhairthreading.com/?gclid=COwkJXirI4CFQUsPAod822Zw

Natural facial hair removers are inexpensive, and over time will deliver dramatic results. By blending egg whites, sugar, and corn flour into a sticky paste and applying it to your face, you can eventually see the results of less facial hair. The mixture is left on the face until it dries and then peeled off. For the first few months this treatment should be applied three to four times weekly, and then can be done once a week once results have become apparent.

Many darker haired women have turned to Vaniqa as it is the only prescription product approved by the FDA and is clinically proven to reduce the growth of unwanted facial hair. Dermatologist's claim that it performs by slowing the growth of hair rather then just removing it and that most women will see results within 4-6 weeks when used twice a day every day. The disadvantage that comes from this product is that it is not recommended for light haired women and it costs about $70.00. One great advantage is that clinical tests have indicated that using a combination of laser hair removal and Vaniqa increased the effectiveness of the laser treatment.

The wax method lasts longer, but should only be used if you have a high tolerance for pain. The lip area and below the ear are very sensitive areas, and these are usually the areas that need hair removal. The advantages of this type of hair removal are that it can be done at home with over the counter products like Nad's or Nair.
